Brian Rickard, PharmD to attend PCCA HRT Symposium in Savannah, GA

Lyons, Georgia, June 1, 2016 – Allcare’s Director of Compounding, Brian Rickard, PharmD will attend the PCCA Hormone Replacement Therapy Symposium in Savannah, GA in July of 2016.  Allcare has always been a leader in Bio-identical Hormone Replacement Therapy (BHRT) and women are becoming more and more aware of this option that can improve their overall well-being. As we age, both men and women’s bodies begin to down regulate the production of the natural hormones that our bodies produce.  By supplementing the body with hormones that have been formulated to be identical to those naturally occurring molecules, we can raise those hormone levels and make you feel energetic and “young” again. Dr. Rickard will attend the HRT symposium to stay up to date on current best practices regarding BHRT.  If you feel like you could benefit from BHRT contact our pharmacy today!

Allcare Pharmacy Introduces a new proprietary Wound Care gel for chronic wounds

Lyons, Georgia, May 1, 2016 – Do you have a wound that is having a difficult time healing? Chronic wounds can be devastating to your quality of life and can lead to more severe complications later on. Using topical anti-infective agents has helped many physicians and patients close wounds that have not been healed by traditional oral or IV therapies.  Allcare’s new wound gel is a water soluble base formulated to provide an anti-biofilm effect on the wound.  Because our base is water soluble, it can simplify and lower the pain associated with debridement and frequent dressing changes.  Both of which are an integral part of any wound healing process.  Bacteria form a biofilm on wounds as part of their “survival technique”. This biofilm acts as a barrier from the outside to protect the bacteria living underneath. Allcare’s wound base can break that biofilm up to allow the medication you need to absorb more effectively to treat the underlying infection.  Contact us today if you have any questions about how topical antibiotic therapy can help you cure your chronic wound.
